GERALDINE BEAGLE CLUB.
The annual general meeting of the Club was hold on the Bth instant at Wainui, Winchester, tho residence of A. L. Barker, Esq. Members present—Messrs William Postlcthwaito, A. L. Barker, F, H.
Barker, Brisco, John Patterson. Eckford, ; Pitt, DeKenzy, Mcßratney, A. E. Cox, i Ensor, and Dr Hayes. i The President of the Club, Wm. Postlethwaite, Esq. was in the chair. The aceonnts for the past year handed in by the Treasurer were duly passed. | The Treasurer’s report was considered ' very satisfactory. The receipts for the ' year were £IOB 3s 9d, and expenditure j £B7 19s. Bringing forward the credit balance from last year the sum of £39 6s lOd remained to the credit of the Club.
The Master reported there had been 14 general meets and a similar number of by-days during the season, scoring 27 kills. The Club has 10 couples of hounds for the ensuing season after culling severely. A letter was read from the Secretary and Treasurer (Mr E. 11. Guinness) resigning his position on account of his having left the” district. The resignation was received, and a unanimous vote accorded him for his past kind services. Mr E. J. S. Eckford was appointed Secretary and Treasurer to the Club for the ensuing year. The following gentlemen were elected to form the Working Committee :■ —W. Postlethwaite, Esq., President ; Thomas Harclcastle, Esq.. Vice-President; Master, Mr A. L. Barker ; Secretary, Mr E. J. S. Eckford, and Messrs F. XL Barber, Brisco, A. E. Cox, Ensor, Mcßratney, and Deßenzy. Five to form a quorum. A vote of thanks was unanimously given to the Master, Mr A. L. Barker,for his very kind and valuable services rendered to the Club during the year. The following gentlemen.were elected members of the Club -Messrs P. Warning. J. Wareing, J. T. M. Hayhurst, Win, Grant, W. Binley, J. Cunningham, and Wm. Gunn. The Treasurer and Master were authorized to sign cheques on behalf of the Club.
It was decided that the subscription for the year be £2, and that £1 bo paid on or before May 1 next, the balance to be called up when the Committee think desirable.
A vote of thanks was unanimously given to the President, and the meeting then terminated.
