:. ’Judging from the’frequent' Applause that greeted those performers last night, it was evident they succeeded in striking the popular taste, “The Dairyman’s Daughter” gave opportunity for the exhibition of some clever acting, though the very (jnfonife voice of Milky White, the Dairyman, is personified by Master Parla'tto, very much detracted from the interest of the performance.;, Beyond the .unsuitablenessbt his voice, no exception could be taken to his rendering, and the other performers were very entertaining.,’ Mt > Fatten was : especially iisd. Miss Nina Tulloch would be. no less attractive if she did not so evidently fashion herself on : Mrs Williamson in “Struck Oil,” for she acts naturally with skill and propriety. The .other parts wore 1 very well filled. ' The “ musical selections” appeared to meet with unbounded approval. A character sketch “Hash,” concluded the enter r tainment. The gentleman who represented the manager in this piece, appearl not to have learned the very important lesson for theatricals, viz,’—what to do with his hands. :
