VOLUNTEERING.

[By Telegbaph.] Wellington, March 2. The Volunteer Board has commenced its sittings, and intend to do all their work hero, not visiting other parts of the colony. A meeting of Vlounteer officers was held last night to arrange about an Easter encampment. Major Pitt and Major Loan were present and intimated the willingness of the N'-’• :■ and Canterbury Volunteers to j.>.... A letter was received from Government stating that no tents were available, but means were suggested of getting over this difficulty. Lieut. Young slated that Captains Matt and Hutchison had nssuiod him the Wanganui Corps wore willing to join. A deputation was appointed to wait on Government to ascertain what assistance they would give.
