Entrance, 2 sovs. Maidens at starting allowed, for 3-year-olds, 31bs ; 4 years, 71bs ; 5 years and upwards, lOlbs. Weight for age. Distance, about miles. 1.45 p.m.—Sires’ Produce Stakes, of 90 sovs ; distance, 6 furlongs. Colts, Bst 101 b; fillies, Bst 51b. Acceptors to pay a sweep of 5 sovs on night of general entries, amount of sweep to go to the second horse. 2.30 p.m. —Timaeu Cup, a handicap of 200 sovs, with a sweepstake of 5 sovs for acceptors; amount accruing from the sweep to go to the second horse ; nomination, 2 sovs ; acceptance, 4 sovs ; distance, If miles. 3.45 p.m.— Flying Handicap, of 50 sovs; nomination, 1 sov; acceptance, 1 sov ; distance, f miles. 4.30 p.m.— Selling Hack Race, of 10 sovs ; distance, 1 mile. The winner of the Timaru Cup to carry 71b penalty. 1.45 p.m.— Handicap Hurdle Race, of 80 sovs ; distance, about 2| miles, over 8 flights of hurdles ; nomination, 1 sov ; aeceptanoe, 2 sovs ; second horse to receive £lO out of 3 p.m.— Selling Hack Hurdle Race, of 20 sovs ; distance, 14 miles ; no weight under lOst ; the winner to be sold by auction ; any surplus over 20 sovs to go the fund post entry, 1 sov. 3.45 p.m.—Winter Oats Handicap, of 80 sovs ; for 2-year olds, with a sweepstake of 3 sovs for acceptors ; amount accruing from the sweep to go to the.second horse ; nomination, 2 sovs ; acceptance, 2 sovs; distance, six furlongs. 4.30 p.m.—Consolation Handicap, of 30 sovs ; post entry, 1 sov ; distance, 1 mile. Handicap, Hurdle Race, and Winter Oats Handicap to he made to the Secretary not later than Monday March 13th, at 9 p.m. Weights to be out on Friday, April 14th. Acceptances, with Sweep and General Entries, up to 9 p.m. on Thursday, April 20th. All entries and acceptances must be in sealed covers, addressed to the Secretary, Grosvenor Hotel, Timaru, and contain entrance money, sweepstakes, qualification fee, description, age and name of horse, and colors to be worn by jockey.
