Volunteer ClaimsWellington, Feb 14; It is now definitely decided that the Commission to investigate the Volnnteer claims will consist of Messrs Fulton, Bunny and Colonel Haultain. It is understood that the former gentleman will act as Chairman. The Commission is not yet signed, but it is expected this will be done prior to the departure of the Governor for Christchurch on Thursday. LicensingCheistchtjrch, Feb. 14 The nomination of candidates for the Licensing Benches of Christchurch and suburban districts took place to-day. In one district only one person was nominated,' and in another only two, the full number being nominated for the remaining districts. The “Tablet-” Dunedin, Feb. 14. At a meetirig of the “ Tablet’’ Company, the shareholders, one dissenting, refused to give the paper to Bishop Moran, bnt authorised the Directors to present him with £2OO.
