SECOND EDITION ACCIDENT AT MILFORD.
*—. — 'Mr Martin, of Milford, met with a nasty accident on Monday last. He had a young bull, which turning out, a tioiotis one, he determined to destroy. Ob 'Monday he went into the paddock where the brute was, armed with a pitchfork, to fetch him out to kill him, The bull attacked him, knocked him down, and tossed him two or three times. Mr Martin could not get away, *nd would probably been killed, had not his wife come to his assistance with a pot of boiling water. She dashed this in the bull’s face, and drove him off sufficiently to allow her to drag her husband away to the house. Dr Hayes was sent for and found the unfortunate man had received several severe flesh wounds besides a large number of bruises all ■over the body. His injuries are very serious, but are not expected to terminate fatally.
