ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTYTHREE RUNS, comprising an area of 2,300,217 acres of Crown Lands, well grassed, well watered, and easy of access byroads, will be offered for lease by public Auction on MONDAY, the 27th February next, at 11 o’clock a.m., in Watson’s Long Room, High Street, Dunedin. The Runs average an area of acres ; eighty-seven of them are under this average, the lowest being 3,200 acres, and eighty-six of them are above the average, the highest being 70,190 acres. The upset rentals average nearly Id per acre, ranging from a fraction of Id up to 7d. The’tcnure ranges from one year up to ten. Details of each Run, and lithograph maps can be seen at any Laud Office, and posters giving full particulars of the Runs are exhibited at all the Railway Stations

Contested applications for any of the deferred payment sections will be decided on the 22nd February, at Hawera, immediately before the auction sale of the cash land. The seotionsin Block XIII., Kaupokonui, abut on the continuous Native Reserve, between the Aurora Road and the Oeo Biver. The sections in Block Y., Ngaire, lie to the westward of the Waingongoro River, and are connected with the railway line by cleared road lines. A BOUT 125 acres of the new ownship of Botorua, near the Maori settlement of Ohinemutu, will be offered for Lease by Public Auction on the 7xh MARCH, 1882, AT THE CROWN LANDS OFFICE, AUCKLAND. The Business Sites will comprise quarter acre and the Yilla Sites half-acre lots. A few Suburban Lots of 6 acres and 10 acres each, and small farms varying from j 40 to 60 acres, will also be offered. The lots as marked on the plan will be let on lease for ninety-nine years, under arrangements made by the Government of New Zealand with the proprietors of the soil. The letting will be by auction, at the office of the Commissioner of Crown Lands in Auckland, on the 7th of March, 1882. Renta will be payable half-yearly, the first half-year being paid on the day of Bale. All mineral waters, hot-spnngs, and. streams are,- and remain vested in the Crown, The reserves for schools, post office, telegraph office, railway, hospital, and other public objects will be shown on the maps on the day of sale. The recreation-grounds will be reserved or the public, and will be under the mangement of a local body. There will be a resident, medical officer, appointed by the Government. The government of the town will be by a local body constituted under “ The Thermal Springs District Act, 1871.” Some of the building sites, peculiarly suitable for residences, will be let subject to restrictions as to use for trades or shops. The hotels and lodging-houses will be governed by regulations suitable to the exceptional character and requirements of the town. Rents will be paid half-yearly, in Auckland, or in the town, as may be found convenient. Possession of the land will be given immediately after the auction. The lots may be now identified on the ground by marked pegs. The use of the waters, and all other similar arrangements, will be under the control of the doctor and a local body. Copies of the plans and full printed parUculars can be seen at any Post or Telegraph Office, Railway Station, and Athemeurn, or they can be obtained from any Commissioners of Crown Lands at any Land Office in the colony.
