The Curriculum of Study emoraces, in addition to those subjects which form the basis of a sound Engdsh education, regular instruction in Latin, French, and German ; in Greek, it required ; in Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry; in Drill, Drawing and Accomplishments ; and in one or two branches of Natural and Ex* perimental Science. For the teaching of Physics and Chemistry, sets ot apparatus have been procured. In addition to those already in use, apparatus, for a complete course in Science has been ordered and will be received during the year. GENERAL SCHOOL ARRANGEMENTS. The School hours are from 9.30 a.m. to 12.110 p.m., and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. FEES. The Fees are strictly payable in advance, and arecollectectby the Secretary on the first Monday after each term day, at the School, between 9.30 a.m, and 10 a.m. For the regular School course £2l2s 6d per term In the case of two or more of same family £2 2s Od „ „ Pupils entering for the first time after the commencement of a term are charged in proportion to the remaining time. The School Year is divided into four equal terms of about eleven weeks in each. ATTENDANCE AT SINGLE CLASSES. Besides the regular pupils, boys or girls who have previously been regular pupils at the. High School can attend single classes on a payment of 10s 6d per quarter for each such class,; but are not entitled to rank for prizes or honors. Those who have not previously attended the School are charged a fee of one guinea for each such class. PRIZES AND SCHOLARSHIPS. Ten Scholarships of the annual value of Ten Guineas are gi anted by Governors. Of these four are open to Pupils of South Canterbury Schools, the subjects of examination being the leading branches of Standard V.
