A meeting of the Timaru U. C. Club was held this afternoon, at which the following players were chosen to form the- local Twenty-two. 'Blundell Pearpomt Bowie King Courtis Longlr _ ’ Collins Perry, C. T. H. A' D’Emden Both well Fraser Raymond Fowler Beeves Franks Secretan Hughes Shepherd . Grant Jones, ?. Jones, F. Jefferson. The list comprises a number of really good players, hut they will suffer from j, the drawback of not having played together, and the match taking place next Wednesday, they, have not much time for special practice. They must simply do their best, and we have no doubt they will be able to offer such opposition to their visitors as to make the match an interesting one. It would be absurd to expect more.
