On January 3, during a gale, a heavy sea broke on board, carrying ’ ‘ away the starboard quarter house, staving in the bulwarks,, and filling the cabin with water. The man at the wheel was knocked down and rendered almost insensible, and the boatswain, named Nicholas, was killed. Preserving Potatoes- • The "Star’’says that J.A.
