The “ .Daily News” to-day publishes a telegram from Afghanistan to the effect that the Ameer Abdul llahman has expressed his intention of visiting India during the ensuing spring. MoneyThree per cent consols have declined and are quoted to-day at Zealand securities:—s per cent 10-40 loan, 104 ; 5 per cent 1889 loan, 104; per cent 1879-1904, 101 J. Wheat. Adelaide wheat, ex warehouse, 565; New Zealand do, 525; Adelaide flour, ex warehouse, 51s 6d. The French in TunisParis, Deo. 29. Telegrams to hand from Tunis report that the desultory fighting continues between the insurgent Arab tribes and the French forces in the principality. The rebels have suffered severe losses, and a large body has crossed the western border into Morocco, whither the French are pursuing them.
Half a King* Bombay, Dec 2g. At Baroda, the capital of Gujerat, a semi-independent Native State in the Bombay'Presidency, the installation of the Guicowar, the native ruler, took place to-day in the presence of the British Resident.
