Mr Twopeny, one of the promoters, will leave Melbourne by the Arawata to arrange for the opening of the International Exhibition at Christchurch. March 15 has been fixed as the date for the ceremonial. Over 200 applications for space have already been received from England by intending exhibitors. Commodore Erskine has promised to take the Australian Squadron to Lyttelton at an early date, and will assist at the ceremony. It is expected here that the Exhibition will be very successful.
