The English Eleven BeatenSydney, Dec. 8. The cricket match between the English Eleven and Twenty-two of Paramatta was concluded to day and resulted in a victory for the local team by five wickets. The Englishmen in their second innings only succeeded in putting together Go runs. The Twentytwo went in requiring 49 to win. They obtained the required number with a loss of 16 wickets, and thus won the match by five wickets. The wicket was rather bumpy and the bowling of the Paramatta team was dead on the wicket. The Milburn Creek AffairAt the Supreme Court to-day the Hon. Eobt. Wisdom, Attorney-General, applied on behalf of Government for warrants for the apprehension of the trustees in the Milburn Creek Copper Mining Company—Messrs E. A. Baker (late Minister of Mines), W. Mr Dailey, Q.C., has been retained for the defence, and Messrs Davies and Want for the prosecution.
