(Per Press Association.) At the Trent. Pdngarehu, Dec. 8. The camp was shifted at Parihaka yesterday. Road work will soon be commenced, the men stationed here hare already begun between Parapara and Parihaka. It is stated that they are to have Is per day on the road as the duty is not heavy. The monthly cheques will be considerably increased. The officers get 2s fid per diem. Several recruits have already got tired of the force and have put in applications for their discharges and got them. Appeal CourtWellington, Dec. 8. The folllowing judgments were given in the Appeal Court this morning;— District Land Eegistrar v. Mitcheison (Auckland), appeal dismissed with costs; Rich and another v. Whitaker (Auckland), appeal allowed with costs, leave was given to reply; in the case Wi Hironga, an appeal from the Native Lands Court at Gisborne, the appeal was allowed with costs. The Court adjourned till this afternoon, when Probably other judgments will be given. The Totalisator Casein the Appeal Court, the totalisator case, Franck v. Stead and others, judgment was given for defendants, with costs. The Court held that the machine of defendants’, while similar to the plaintiff’s in some respects, was not an infringement of his patent. Application was made for leave to appeal to the Privy Council, The Court, however were of opinion they had no power either to grant or refuse leave. The Brogden Claims. "In Brogden and others v. the Queen and Sraythe v. the Queen, demurrer was upheld. FireDunedin, Dec. 8. A fire, at Kensington this morning destroyed the shop of William Lemon, draper, John Jackson, ironmonger, and an unoccupied and partially burnt the dwelling of one Barry. ' The only insurances ascertain, able were, Jackson £lO(Ma the New Zealand, and Barry £3OO in the Colonial. Home Wool Market. Messrs Murray, Roberts & Co. have received a wool cable dated the sth inst, stating that the market is weaker, and
