Mails close at the Chief Post Office Timaru, for the following places (subject to tho necessary alterations) as under : Weinesday, Dec, 7. For Australian Colonies, per Bingnrooma at 4 p.m. (will connect with P. and O. steamer leaving Melbourne on Dec. 21.) Thursday, Dec. 8. For Northarn Porta of New Zealand, per Aiftwata, at 6 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9. For Northern Forts of New Zealand, New South Wales and Queensland, at 6 a.m. Sat uni ay, Dec. 10. For Northern Forts of New Zealand, per Penguin, at 2.50 p.m. The Stella will leave Bluff for West Coast Sounds on the 12th inst. (Signed) Ed. Cook, Chief Postmaster.
