Collision in the ChannelThe ship British Navy, bound from London to Sydney, while proceeding down the Channel, came into collision with an unknown vessel off Deal. The former suffered severe injury, and sank shortly after the collision. Twenty persons on board were drowned. Wool SalesAt the wool sale to-day 8700 bales were offered. A good demand was experienced. ’Frisco MailSan Fbancisco, Nov. 28. Arrived —Pacific Mail steamship Zealandia, from Auckland (left November 8), three days in advance of contract time.
