CHRISTCHURCH PRODUCE MARKETS. The following is the report of the Christchurch Corn Exchange for the week ending Friday November 18 ; The past fortnight has been so entirely given up to holidays and holiday makers that business in the grain trade has been almost entirely neglected. Latest telegram-i from London report a still farther depression in wheat. The weather continues extremely favorable for the growing crops, although rain would now be acceptable. Wheat— Good sound milling wheat, in shipping lines, is worth from 4s 6d to 4s 9d per 'bushel f.0.b.; second quality 4s to 4s 4d per bushel; chick wheat, from 3s to 3s fid per bushel, delivered in Christchurch. Oats—A few sales have been made within the past week at from 2s to 2s Id per bushel f.0.b.; feed quality, Is lOd to Is lid.
Barley—There is still an occasional enquiry for prim'? malting samples ; these, however, are few and far between. Holders are asking from 2s 9d to 3s fid per bushel; feed quality, Is 9d to 2s per bushel. Potatoes—A few small orders continue to come to hand, which are executed at from 25s to 27s 6d f.o.b. sacks included, _ Grass Seed —Business in this article is practically over tor the present. Any small orders coming to band are charged from 6s fid to 5a 9d for good clean seed. Cheese and Butter—The former is worth from 4£d to with stocks low and a good demand. The latter is selling at fid per lb, with rather a sla"k demand.
