(Per Press Association.) A Dangerdns RiverLyell, Nov. 12. A nearly fatal accident happened at Inangahua Junction on Thursday. A teamster named Hanna was crossing with a loaded dray, and when in the centre of the stream the force of the current capsized the dray, its cargo was almost entirely destroyed. The driver was carried over the fall and narrowly escaped drowning 1 . He estimates bis loss at fully £IOO. This is the second accident at the same place within a fortnight, and the ford is daily, becoming more dangerous. If a bridge is not erected at once, traffic will be almost entirely stopped. W- W- ChartersChristchurch, Nov. 12. W. W. Charters was brought up on remand this morning. He pleaded guilty to the charge of the funds of jthe Sydenham Building Society, but not to the charge of forgery. Charters was further remanded.
