Protected by Royal Letters Patent, is a most useful and simple contrivance for lifting sheep from the hot soak instead of their being dragged up an incline ; it can be fitted to almost any wash. The following statements have been kindly giving for pulication : I have used one of Jackson’s Patent Lifts at my wash with great advantage, as it saves labour, prevents injury to the sheep economises soap, and helps to insure more perfect washing. WILLIAM LEWIS. Stoneleigh, near Skipton. I have seen Jackson’s Patent Sheep Lift at work, and I consider it a valuable invention ; the sheep are got under the jets while the wool is hot; the washing is greatly facilited; the sheep are saved from injury by rough usage, and the colour and condition of the wool is improved. PETER McINTYRB. Makwallak. Full particulars, price, &c,, can be ob. tained from the patentee, or John Owen Beaufort. GRATEFUL.—COMFORTING. P PS’S COCOA. BREAKFAST. “By a thorough knowledge of the natural laws which govern the operations of digestion and nutrition, and by a careful application of the fine properties of well-selected cocoa, Mr Epps has provided our breakfast tables with a delicately flavoured beverage which may save us many heavy doctors’ bills. It is by the judicious use of such articles of diet that a constitution may be gradually built up until strong enough to resist every tendency of disease. Hundreds of subtle maladies are floating around us ready to attack wherever there is a weak point. We may escape many a fatal shaft by keeping ourselves fortified with pure blood and a properly nourished frame.”— See article in the “ Civil Service Gazette.” Made simply with boiling water or milk Sold only in packets labelled',— JJAMES EPPS & CO., HOMOEOPATHIC CHEMISTSIj London Also—EFP’S CHOCOLATE ESSENCE for Afternoon use.
