The Arrests. [from our special correspondent,] Pungarehit, 2.50 p.m. The troops advanced from both camps at 5 o’clock towards Parihaka, 1700 strong, amid great excitement, the A.C, in the centre ; the Nelson and Thames Volunteers, under Major Pitt, left flank; the Canterbury and Marlborough men on the right, and the Wellington and Thames Navals also ip the centre. The Riot Act wan read. The men closed on Parihaka at eleven, and Te Whiti was arrested by Major Tuke at 11.20 a.m. Tohu and Hiroki were also arrested. No resistance was offered. The are well pleased. Te Whiti and Tohu have been sent to New Plymouth.
