[Renter's Agbnoy.l Sporting. Melbourne, Nov. 3. At Flemington to-day, the third day of the Victorian Racing Club’s Spring Meeting, the race for the Oaks Stakes, one and a half miles, was won by Royal Maid, with Tourmaline second, and Declamation third. Birthday and Spinningdale also started. Royal Maid won rather easily. Time —2mins 44secs. Shipping Casualties^ Sydney, Nov. 3. Nothing has yet been heard of the missing steamer Balclutha or of the barque Omba, bound from Batavia to Melbourne, wreckage from which latter vessel was seen at Cape Three Points last week, Steamers have now been despatched from this port in search of the missing vessels. Two fresh cases of smallpox have been reported to the Board of Health.
