The Congregationalists of Oamaru are about to build a church there. Captain Jack son, the officer in charge of the Volunteer depot at Timaru, this morning received a telegram stating that the South Canterbury Volunteers would march from Opunake to Parihaka (? Pungarehu) to-day.
LIFEBOAT LODGE, No. 101, 1.0.G.T. THE usual Weekly Meeting of this Lodge will be held TO-MORROW (Thursday) EVENING, in the Foresters’ Hall, when it is to be hoped there will bo a good attendance. Business— Election of Officers, District Deputy, and G.L. Representative. A. S. DUNN, W. Secretary.
