(Per Press Association.) Obituary. Auckland, Nov. 2. Lady Wynard, widow of a former Lieutenant-Governor of the colony, died here this morning. A Ghastly Waiftt is reported here that a boat belonging to the wrecked vessel Kona has been found at Tekopuri, with a dead body, made fast to the stern ring bolt. Working Men and Politics, Christchurch, Nov. 2. Efforts are being made to establish a Working Men’s Political Association for the purpose of returning a working men’s representative at the forthcoming election. A preliminary meeting was held last night. Christchurch Races. Good work was done on the racecourse this morning, hut nothing special occurred. Electoral. Dunedin, Nov. 2. Mr Stewart is definitely out for Dunedin West. Cameron’s SweepIn Cameron’s £5250 sweep, the first prize goes to Christchurch, second to Invercargill, and third to Queenstown.
