Arrests in Ireland* * Arrests of prominent agitators continue to be made in Ireland, under the Viceroy’s warrant. Among those recently placed in custody is Mr McHale, a Catholic priest. French Politics* Paris, Oct. 28. M. Gambetta, President of the Chamber of Deputies, had an interview to-day with President Grevy. No porticulars of the meeting have yet transpired. German Politics* Berlin, Oct. 27. The elections to the Germrn Reichstag have resulted unfavorably for the Government, which has now no working majority in Parliament. Among the defeated Ministerial candidates was a son of Prince Bismarck. There has been a large increase in the number of Socialist candidates elected to the Reichstag.
