(Pee Pkess Association.) The Lost Tribes. Auckland, Oct. 12. An Anglo-Israel Association was formed here last night. Gold Seeker. At the Civil Sessions of the Supreme Court yesterday the case Campbell v. Hosie was heard. It was an action to recover a mining claim at Owharoa, which plaintiff averred he had sold to defendant on account of false representations. Shortly after the sale the claim became of great value. The jury found a verdict for the defendant on all issues. A Dangerous Trick. Wellington, Oct. 11’ In -the Supreme Court, the cape against Simpson, for wilfully fastening down the safety valve of a boiler, is proceeding. Meeting of the Chiefs* Messrs Eollestou and Hall return today. Native Difficulty. New Plymouth, Oct. 12. It is reported here that preparations are evidently being made at the Camp for a move of some kind. Also that Mr Bolleston has gone to Wellington to allow Major Atkinson to come here. To Clear his Character. Dunedin. Oct. 12. Mr Massey, who vas a party to a libel ease recently heard, has resigned the City Clerkship, pending an investigation.
