TEMUKA HOUSE PARADE.

The Temnka and Geraldine Agricultural and Pastoral Association’s annual horse parade took place at Tcmuka yesterday in a paddock opposite the Star Hotel. There was a fair attendance, but, as will be seen by the subjoined list of entries, there'were only sixteen horses paraded ; DRAUGHT HORSES. Mr A, Mcßratno\’s Young Royal Conqueror. Mr Mathews’ Lord Castlereagh MrR. Mathews’ Young Wellington. Mr J. Sullivan’s Young Conqueror. Geraldine Stud Company’s Renfrew Jock, Messrs Fleming and Hedley’s Young Vanquisher. Mr J. Choak’s Crown prince. Mr S. McCullough’s Lord Loftus. Mr Stewart’s Sir Colin. THOROUGHBREDS. Mr P. Stock’s Discretion. Mr R. Edgeworth's Harkaway. Mr Tangier. Mr A. L. Barker’s Macilleathoan. Mr J. King’s Talisman. Mr T. W. Corbett’s Daniel O’Rourke. POXY. Mr A. Toomey’s Duke of Edinburgh, The Stud Company’s Renfrew Jock, Mr McCullough’s Lord Loftus, and Mr Stewart’s Sir Colin were the only three draught horses present who had not figured at the Timaru parade on Saturday last. Renfrew Jock is too well known, both in North and South Canterbury, to require any detailed description, and he has proved profitable property to .lis present owners. Lord Loftus and Sir Colin are both good horses, and they ought to be in good demand during the season. Jangler was the only non’ entry in the thoroughbred department, hut waiving his pedi» gree, lie has nothing to recommend him.
