MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office Timaru, for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under : The Omaha will leare Auckland for Chatham Islands, on Monday 3rd inst., at 11 a.m. The Waipara will leave Hokitika for West Coast Sounds on Tuesday, Oct. 4, and for Okarito about Wednesday, Oct. 19. Thursday, Oot. 6. For Australian Colonies, per Arawata, at 4 p.m. (Signed) Bn. Coos, Chief Postmaster. Chief Post Office, Timaru, Oot. 1, 1881.
