FARMERS’ CO OPERATIVE ASSOCIATION.
[to this editor] Sir —I see that the Farmers’ Cooperative Association, or rather the directors, have called the first meeting for October 11th, and I regret that their first step in this direction should be in direct contravention to the Articles of Association. It is quite clear from sections 57, 58, 59 that after September 29th, 1881, there will be no Board of Directors, and it is equally clear from sections 105,109, that after that date there will be no auditors ,* in fact, the Articles of Association con-
tain repeated and distinct reference to a meeting of shareholders, to be held on September 29 th, 1881. As a shareholder, I am anxious for the success of the Association, and I don’t think any reason can be found to justify so distinct a blunder. Yours, &c., Shareholder.
