This Company is projected to c.-tablish the manufactme of printing, wrapping, and other paper- - , According to official returns, there are 1050 tons of printing paper alone annually imported into this colony, at a cost of over £50,000. and to this must be added other kinds of paper to more than double that amount. It is therefore evident that there is ample scope for the projected undertaking. It is contemplated importing the very best machinery procurable, the probable cost of which, includ mi necessary buildings, will amount to £15,000 : and as the Promoters do not intend to take action unless at lea-t 20,000 Shares have been taken up, there will be ample capital for working expenses. The followirg local advantages have influenced the Promoters in choosing Temuka as the site of the projected Mill, viz. : (>r.) Connection with the Main Trunk Railway by a siding, tbus giving direct, communication with the principal centres of population and seaports. {h.) An unlimited supply of pure Water, free from iron and other deleterious matter. {<;.) Above all, an abundant supply of the raw material, consisting of straw, native flax, and other fibre, which are to be had in the immediate neighborhood at very low rates. The Promoters, after mature consideration and careful investigation, have no hesitation in placing this scheme before the public, and soliciting them co-opcra-tion, in the full assurance that the enterprise will be a boon to the colony at large, and a profitable investment to the shareholders. Furthermore - , it is hardly necessary to point out the many advantages which will accrue from an industry of this kind, such as the utilisation of materials now wa ted, employment of labor, the circulation of capital, and the establishment of kindred industries, which is sure to follow in the wake of that now projected. Foims of Application can be bad at the Bank of New Zealand, Temuka, or its other Branches : from Mr Keith Forbes Gray, Temuka ; or from the Brokers, from whom, also, all information may be obtained.
