THE WAITAKI HIGH SCHOOL.
.The Waitaki High School is rising rapidly from the plain-says the “ North i- .Otago Times.” The contractors for the building have been at work now for a . month, and with the exception of one * or two yards and offices at the back, the walls have been already carried up between '3 and 4ft. ‘The building is " situated in a large paddock about a quarter of a mile on the’ north side of the cricket ground, and, stands between 1 lie railway line aud. the shore. Thirty acres have,been reserved round it in the meantime, by the governors for recreation grounds. The contractors expect to have .the masonry work finished in about six months time, and a space is to be reserved, probably somewhere about "the north-east corner of the.build-
ing, whore Mr Shrimski, chairman of the Hoard of 'Governors, will place the foundation stone on his return.from Wellington,
