Invercargill, following the example of Dunedin, Ashburton, and other places, is going to have an Industrial Exhibition. The allair opens on September 1, and closes on September 10. The Bible-in-Schools Bill was thrown out yesterday in the House of Representatives by 52 votes to 15, The case of Campbell found dead in Boss’ Building, Dunedin, yesterday morning has peculiar surroundings. He had a watch and £lO on him when he left home on Monday morning, but only Is Od was found on him by the police. It is thought he got into bad company and was eased of all he had and then turned out. He was an old settler of 32 years standing, having sons and daughters married at Taieri and Southland.
