The second popular entertainment under the auspices of the Lifeboat LodgS, No. 101, 1.0.G.T., will be given at the Theatre Royal on Tuesday ev ning, August 23. The programme will shortly be published. The last entertainment by the members of of this Lodge was such a success, that we shall expect to see a full house. T: c Magisterial enquiry into the Cash Palace tire takes place at the R.M. Court on Monday, at 11 a.m,, when some additional evidence will be forthcoming. A scrimmage in the cause of “ Liberty ” came off this afternoon near the railway turn-table on the beach. A reputed correspondent of the notorious society paper had a set-to with some of his foes, and proved he was able to take good care of himself. In justice to this individual, to whom reference is made in another paragraph, we have the best authority for stating that he does not write for the “ Liberty.” A well-known horse named Lolo, who was disposed of some years ago for £IOO was purchased out of the Camden (N.S.W.) pound the other week, with another horse, for 3s.
