[P.EUTEa’fi Agency.] Irish Agitators in America. New -York, Aug. G. A largely attended mooting was held at Chicago to-day, under the auspices of
the Irish. Revolution Congress, at which the condition of Ireland and the action of the British Government in connection with that country were discussed in violent and inflammatory language, and the use of firearms and explosives, as a means of redress, ■were freely commended. It is stated that this Congress is engaged in drawing up n programme for future action, in which djmamitc will have a prominent place. The two Emperors. Vienna, Aug. 6. It has transpired that meetings \vhich took place to day at Gastein between the Emperor Francis Joseph and minor German Sovereigns, have no political significance, but that ihe visits which were exchanged were merely those of courtesy. The state of Tunis. Paris, August 6. Telegrams from Tunnis report that the state of that country is now much calmer, the Arab rising having considerably subsided. Affairs in AfghanistanCalcutta, August 6. News is to hand from Candahar that Ayoub Tvhan is now preparing to ad vanco on Cabul and is being joined by bodies of Duranis. Aug. 7. Telegrams to hand from Afghanistan announce that the Arnccr Abdul Rahman, is now at Eholat, engaged in massing troops from the surrounding country.
