[Per Times Special Wire.] A Boy Drops Dead. Dunedin, Aug. 3. At Milton yesterday, Arthur Stewart, a boy, who was playing at football, while running very fast with the ball was observed to drop down suddenly. Medical aid was at once obtained but life was extinct. Dunedin PresbyteryThe Dunedin Presbytery have unani mousl} 7 sustained the call of the Rev. Inglis, of Ballarat.
Fire in Wanganui. Wanganui, August 3. By a disastrous fire at 4.30 this morung, the residence of Peter Bell, draper’ St. John’s Hill,was burned to the ground A portion of -the furniture was saved. The inmates escaped with difficulty. Cause of fire unknown. The building was insured in the New Zealand office for £4OO. Furniture totally uninsured. Estimated loss £IOO.
