Progress of the Irish Land BillIn the House of Commons to-day the postponed clauses of the Irish Land Bill were passed through Committee after debate. The Bill was reported to the House with amendments, and the third reading fixed for next sittings. In the course of to-days sitting the appointments to the Irish Land Commission were approved by the House of Commons without opposition. Race Stronger than Discipline. Telegrams are to hand from Tunis, announcing that numerous desertions are taking place from the Tunisian army, owing to a strong feeling among the troops of sympathy with, the rising of the Arab tribes.
