A DESIRABLE REFORM.

A few weeks back a number of ladies in London held a meeting “to discuss the best means of introducing and promoting a style of dress more conducive to health and' comfort (ban at present worn by Englishwomen.’’ Viscountess Haberton now proposes to form a society the aim of which shall be to inaugurate a style of divas “ that shall be consistent with the ’aws of physiology, and at the same time comfortable, graceful and economical” The ladies of Berlin started such a society two or three years ago, and with great success. The members “ keep an account of the sums of money expended upon their dress. Fines are imposed upon those who exceed the

limits of reasonable outlay, while rewards are given to such, members as devise the best models of graceful and inexpensive garments.”
