CUSTOMS REVENUE.
The Customs revenue collected during the quarter ended 'June 30, 1881, amounted to £328,327, showing a decrease on the corresponding quarter of last ye*ar of £4,086. It will be seen from the following returns that the Customs duties received at Timaru were trifling compared to the importance of the place. This is owing to the dutiable goods consumed here having been obtained from Dunedin.
