London, June 30 v Great efforts have been made by tho United States Government during the past year to reduce the National debt, and a reduction of 100,000,000 dollars has been effected. July 3. The movements of Fenians in England are causing considerable anxiety to the police authorities, who are tracing them out with the utmost vigilance. Tho Fenians have threatened to blow up Hawarden Castle, Flintsiiire, the residence of the Eight Hon W. E. Gladstone, and Eaton Hall Cheshire, the seat of the Duke of Westminster.

Earl Cowper, Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, has issued an order prohibiting a meeting which had been projected for the purpose of obstructing the Sheriff’s sale.

At the recent elections in Hungary the Liberals obtained a majority of fitty seats.

The Spanish Government has offered to make important concessions in the Customs duties levied upon imports from England, provided the latter will make a reduction in the duties now charged upon Spanish wines. A Volunteer rifle match hold at Dublin resulted in a victory for the English team, which defeated the Irish by 3B points.
