PHRENOLOGY.

Professor Simon repeated his phrenological lecture entertainment at the Oddfellows’ Hall, Barnard street, on Saturday evening, and in accordance with, his promise, proceeded to delineate character while blindfolded. A number of gentlemen were invited to step upon the platform, and one of them having blindfolded the Professor with a handkerchief, he examined each of their heads in turn, telling each what his tastes or proclivities were, what his disposition and temperament, and for what line in life he was best adapted by nature. Then removing the handkerchief the Professor enquired of those he had just examined whether he had given a correct interpretation of their characters and in every case the reply was in the affirmative. That a person can take a dozen people haphazard from a mixed audience and tell of their peculiarities of character at a moment’s notice in a sufficiently accurate manner to satisfy the subjects themselves, certainly suggests that there must be something more in phrenology than it has been credited with during the present generation at least. The Professor has been busy all day at the Oddfellows’ Hall giving private consultations to persons anxious to acquire that most difficult of all knowlege—to know themselves. The Professor may be consulted from 7 to 10 p.m. this evening at the Grosvenor Hotel for the last time. He leaves Timarn early to-morrow morning for the North.
