QUARANTINED.

Wellington, July 7.

The steamer Wakatipu arrived from Sydney at three o’clock this afternoon, and was immediately placed in quarantine. She has a large number of passengers and made a good trip down. The Health Officer visited the vessel and reports no sickness on board. The passengers have been landed at the quarantine station. The mails are in course of fumigation, and will be landed at daylight to morrow.
