A SPECIAL NIGHT TRAIN will leave Christchurch for Dunedin at 8.40 p.m. on FRIDAY, Bth inst., taking up Passengers at all Stations to Oamaru, arriving at Dunedin at 8 a.m. the following day, and a RETURN NIGHT TRAIN will leave Dunedin for Christchurch at 9.20 p.m. on MONDAY, the 11th inst. The former will leave Timaru at 1,10 a.m. Fares for return journey (to Dunedin and back), two-thirds of ordinary second class single fares. This from Timaru will be 14s 7d.
