The Newspapers with account of Derby Race are due to reach Dunedin by ’Frisco Mail on July 28, but this Consultation will probably be closed and drawn before July 20, when Telegrams will be sent to the 246 winners. The public are informed that this will probably be the final consultation carried through in the Colony, as strong repressive measures are likely to be passed by Parliament this session, and if so no Consultation on the Melbourne Cup could either be carried out or filled up.
