PROSPECTS OF THE SESSION
SECOND EDITION
The following te by the Wellington correspondent of the “ Lyttelton Times As to the party prospects of the session, it is admitted on all hands that it is a long time since, in the political history of this co’ony things were so mixed and the prospects so uncertain. The impression is growing that a new party will be formed befoie the end of the session, and the names of Messrs Ormond and Richardson are freely mentioned. I have also heard S'f J. Vogel’s name mentioned as a possible factor in the political complication, and from what I bear of his intended movements from Home sources, I should not be surprised to find him re-entering political life on his return a few moniha hence. Most people here admit that his letter to Mr Curtis on the railway question was written with an object that has yet to be inlly disclosed.
