Dunedin, June 7,

Mr J. C. Brown addressed his constituents at Waitahuna on Monday night. He adversely critised the manner in which retrenchment was carried out by the Government. Ho also spoke strongly of the necessity of resuming nominated immigration. A vote of confidence was passed. Mr W. D. Stewart, M.H.JS., addressed bis constituents to night. About 200 were present ; the Mayor in the chair. He expressed himself adverse to the present Ministry. A vote of thanks and confidence, proposed by Mr Thomson and seconded by Mr Stout, was earned.
