IPes Times Special Wide.] Wellington Harbor. Vv ellington, May 27. At a meeting of the Harbor Board Mr Edgar Jones was appointed engineer and architect. Contagious Diseases ActA deputation from, the City Council waited on the Colonial Secretary this morning with reference to bringing the Contagious Diseases Act into force in Wellington. The Colonial Secretary reported that he saw no reason why the Act should not be brought into force here, as it had done so mucli good in Christchurch, However, ho thought it would be better to obtain the cost before proclaiming the Act. He would obtain information as to cost immediately. Good Yield. Dunedin, May 27. The Cromwell Company’s four weekly crushing yielded 549 ounces from 455 tons.
