Government Notices. V. R. PROPERTY ASSESSMENT ACT. NOTICE. NOTICE is hereby given that all persons who have become liable to taxation under the above Act since the Assessment Roll for 1880-81 was made up are required to send statements of their property not later than the 15th day of June. Persons now on the roll who have acquired further property shice the above roll was completed are required to send in statements showing such further property, whether real or personal. J. SPERRY, Commissioner. Wellington, 16 h May, 1881. Forms can be obtained on application at the Deputy-Commissioner’s Office, or at any Post-office, where there is a telegraph station. All persons taxable under the above Act for the year 1880-81, who have neglected to make returns thereunder, are warned that they will be immediately proceeded against for such neglect, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act. Description of the Land.—This land is situate on the sea-coast, near Cape Egmont, twenty-two to twenty-five miles south of New Plymouth. A good metalled road, being part of the main coast-line from Hawera to New Plymouth, forms the eastern boundary of the block. The laud is level and open, well watered, and fertile. Terms of Sale.—One-fourth of the pur-chase-money to be paid on application, and the balance to the Receiver of _ Land Eevenue at New Plymouth within one calendar month from date of application, otherwise the deposit will be forfeited, and the contract for the sale of the land thenceforth will be null and void. Crown-grant fees to be paid on completion of the purchase. In the event of two or more applications for the same land being made on the same day, the upset price at which such land shall be put up at auction shall be the price stated above. The above sections have been temporarily withheld from sale, but they are now offered to the public with the unsold sections in Blocks IV. and VIIL, which were opened for sale for cash on the 4th of April last.
