It has transpired that the Right Hon Earl Granville, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, has referred to the Tunisian Treaty in recent despatches to the French. The Sultan has issued a decree deposing Bey Side Mahemcd El Sadoc from the Regency of the Tunisian Principality. Paris, May 21. The French Government has resolved to uphold the Bey in the possession of the Tunisian Throne against the Edict, which has been issued by the Porto for deposing him. Despatches received by Government from the Commander of the French forces in Tunis states that the opposiof the natives tribes to the advance of the French troops, has been entirely overcome, the Arabs having been everywhere repulsed, and Bcja and Mater captured and occupied.
