Mails close at the Chief Post Office Timaru, lor the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under : Thursday, May 5. For Northern Porta of New Zealand, New- South Wales, and Queensland, per Botomahana, at 6 a.m. Saturday, May 7. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Penguin, at 2.50 p.m. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco, will close at Timaru on Saturday, May 21, and will be due at San Francisco, on Thursday, June 16, and at London on Tuesday, July 5,1881.
