[Reuter’s Agency.j Irish Affairs. London, May 2. The City of Dublin has been proclaimed a proscribed district by the Viceroy of Ireland, under the powers vested in him by the Coercion Act. It is understood that several important arrests of leading agitators will at once be made in Dublin,,
Mr Gladstone has stated that the demands of the Catholic Hierarchy in Ireland, for material alterations in the Irish Land Bill, cannot be acceded lo by the Government. The amendments asked for are considered inadmissable. The Seige of Tunis. Paris, May 2. Telegrams have heen received, reporting that fightingof a desultory character continues between the French troops and Tunisians, without any material advantage to either side. The former are continuing to advance on the City of Tunis with all possible speed.
