Nominations for the Timaru Cup, Flying Handicap, S.C.J.C. Handicap, Hurdle Race, and Winter Oats Handicap to ba made to the Secretary not later than Inday, March 18, at 8 p.m. Weights to be out on Thursday, April 21. Acceptances, with sweep and general entries, up to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 25. No entry will he received for any of the races except upon this condition—that all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing, shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decisions upon all points connected with the carrycarrying out of this programme shall be final. All entries and acceptances must he in sealed covers, addressed to the Secretary Grosveuor Hotel, Timaru, and contain entrance money, sweepstakes, qualification fee, description, ago, and name of horse, and colors to be worn by the jockej. Qualification fee to be enclosed with the nomination, or the nomination will be 111 South Canterbury Jockey Club Rules will be strictly adhered to. In Hurdle races horses to qualify by jumping hurdle past judge’s box. No person to enter a horse unless ho is a subscriber of £2 2s to the fund, and nc person to nominate unless both owner and nominator be subscribers of the same amount. In the event of any person entering a protest, the sum of £2 2s must be lodged with tl e Secretary before such protest is considered, this sum lo be forfeited to the funds should the Stewards cousiccr tne protest frivolous or vexatious. Five percent will be deducted fiotr. die o-ross of all muacys paid in accordance with the programme, for expenses ; and when not otherwise specified, all entries and acceptances to go io the funds.
